Hilltop Retaining Wall

We first went out to this project mid may 2024. The retaining wall has failed and fallen over. After further investigation we noticed no drains and minimum back fill. Looking into the project we came to the conclusion that we would not be able to reuse the blocks and needed to start from scratch.

We set up measurements and had our design specialist come up with an accurate design. After we finished up with the design we sent our designer back to the clients house to go through the project and explain all that goes into this. Customer accepted the project so we moved forward.

During the installation we removed the existing 80ft wall and dug over 100ft of drainage towards the back of the property. We also did 6ft geogrid compacted behind the blocks and used KINGs Blocks straight face for the structure. The client picked granite as their color of choice. After we constructed the wall we threw down pulverized black dirt grass seed and fertilizer. Topping it off with some hay to keep the seeds intact.

After the project we ended up going through the walk through with customer and received a 5 star on all services completed and the customer was completely satisfied. A job well done and a beautiful wall that will test time.
